Cookie & Storage Policy
Transparency on how BatchLoop stores security tokens and user preferences.
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies and local browser storage are small text fragments stored on your device that allow web applications to remember your authenticated session, verified campus identity, and preferred interface settings.
2. Categories of Storage We Use
Strictly Essential Cookies
MandatoryIncludes Firebase authentication tokens (`__session`), cross-app Single Sign-On (SSO) bridge tickets, and CSRF protection cookies. The application cannot function without these.
Functionality & Offline Cache
FunctionalStores user theme (Dark / Light mode), recent college filters, and Air-Gapped cryptographic exchange receipts in IndexedDB so you can verify exchanges without cellular connectivity.
Analytics & Performance
AnonymousMeasures page latency, Route Deviation Index (RDI) computation times, and aggregate carbon prevention counters. No third-party ad networks or tracking trackers are embedded.
3. Zero Third-Party Advertising Cookies
BatchLoop is strictly built for verified student utility. We do not sell user data, nor do we permit third-party advertising networks (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Pixel) to track your online activities across campuses.
4. Managing Your Preferences
You can configure your browser to block or alert you about cookies. However, blocking essential session cookies will prevent login and dual-party cryptographic verification.
